This 2-years Master`s programme is the only Master level programme in the whole Europe that is focused on educating experts and managers for wellness and spa industry.
High quality lectures and seminars are combined with numerous field-trips and business-internship. Innovative video conferences and e-learning are used in the programme.

The aim of this international Master's program is to provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge, professional skills and practical tools required for working in wellness, spa or other related organizations at the management level.

Main study modules: All four modules are linked with the concepts of sustainability, entrepreneurship, quality, creativity, innovation and experience.
Principles of Sustainable Development (Examples: Video1, Video2, Video3) Wellness History and Philosophy (Example: Video) Creative Economy and Wellness Project Management and Internship module (15 ECTS) Basics of Research module (9 ECTS) Elective courses (6 ECTS) can be chosen from courses currently available at the University of Tartu or its colleges. Master's thesis (30 ECTS) The master's thesis is intended to demonstrate and assess skills in the application of acquired knowledge and to independently carry out a research task. Possibility of credit transfer is available to graduates with a 4-year bachelor's degree.
Recognition of prior work experience is available to applicants with substantial work experience in the field. |
Tuition fees and scholarship
|
The program fee is EUR 1400/semester and covers tuition, essential study materials, supervision and advice for thesis preparation. The program fee does not cover housing and living expenses.
Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management Master`s programme has a number of state-financed study places. It applies to all EU and non-EU candidates. Students who receive this state financed scholarship do not pay a tuition fee. There is no special application form for this tuition fee waiving scholarship. All qualified applicants will be automatically considered. NB! Extra special governmental and ministerial scholarships are available from the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, China, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, Israel, Switzerland, Ukraine, and USA to students from these countries who wish to study in Estonia.
